SJKC Chung Hua Miri thanks local community for support

MIRI: SJKC Chung Hua Miri has expressed it's appreciation to the local community for continuing to provide financial support to the school. Headmistress Tan Ai Chu said with more than 1,000 pupils currently studying here, the Chinese primary school would constantly need much help in maintaining and improving the school's facilities to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Recently, the school received a donation of RM10,000 from local entrepreneur Dato' Sri Thomas Hah Tiing Siu of Joinland Group. "We're thankful for Dato' Sri Hah's generosity and also to those who have been helping our school," said Tan. She assured all that the money would be put into good use such as to beautify the school's environment, install canopies and other facilities. "Parts of the money would also be put into planning and construction projects for the benefit of our pupils," she added. The headmistreass said SJKC Chung Hua Miri's management would constantly check on the need for improvements in order to create a safer and more space for the pupils, as well as for the academic and administration staff.
